Backup Services
Businesses are constantly exposed to the risk of data loss or corruption and with the ever increasing volumes of data being stored by any business, Data Protection has become a strategic asset.
With the amount of data required to be backed up, tapes and other storage, including storage of off-site backups, as well has having a hosted physical DR site have become extremely expensive
and time consuming in a case of restoring. Businesses have turned to Cloud Backups.
There are several types of of Cloud storage available for backing up data.
- Public cloud storage: essentially a multi-tenant storage environment mostly used for storing unstructured and less sensitive data. Although your data is not visible to other tenants, all tenants
data is stored in one big volume.
- Private cloud storage: is a cloud environment used by one organization exclusively and usually managed via internal resources or by a third-party vendor. Private clouds are designed for organizations
that require full data control, customization, and high-level security.
- Hybrid cloud storage: is a combination of public and private cloud storage to form a comprehensive system. In this case, critical data is stored in the private cloud, while less sensitive data
is transferred to public cloud storage. Single or Multiple vendors can be utilised to store the data.
The top public cloud storage vendors include Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, the Google Cloud Platform and obviously Public cloud storage is cheaper than Private cloud storage.
Whether you still feel comfortable having an on-site backup, with a secondary backup to a Cloud Backup provider, or prefer to have your data backed up straight to the cloud, we can offer a huge range
of afforable solutions with many different providers.
Datacentre Hosted Services
The Cloud is not for everyone and a lot of businesses prefer control over their assets and data and generally, the total cost of ownershp of servers in a Datacentre, the power requirements and staff required to
maintain that equipment, is generally more cost effective than of that same infrastructure in cloud based computing. Most mainstream software cant readily run in a cloud environment, but normally a Hybrid environment. A Hybrid
environment means that you data might be stored in the cloud, but your applications run from your server farm in a Datacentre. Businesses benefit from data centers in a variety of ways. Most specifically, they
allow a company to focus on its consumer objectives instead of technological maintenance.
If you are hosting your own equipment on-site, without power protection, then you have a risk of power outage which would equate to loss of revenue. And, if your businesses had a natural or otherwise disaster like
a storm or fire, then there is a possiblily you would loose your equipment and have significant downtime. Datacentres are designed to protect your equipment at all times. The equipment is in a temperature controlled,
power controlled and security protected environment. Datacentres are responsible for all cabling (Fibre, Cat6) to your rack/s.
RBIT have access to a wide variety of Datacentre and Datacentre options. Options such as full cages, individual racks and half racks are available from most datacentres.
Office 365 / Azure Services
As a Microsoft Partner, RBIT can offer the full range of Office 365 and Microsoft Azure services. Products range from simple Email hosting right up to virtual infrastructure in Azure. We have access to all product
pricing and products and can architect and support a solution based on current and future requirments, and most importantly, at your budget.
Azure is a public cloud computing platform with over 200 products and cloud services. You can build, run, and manage applications across multiple clouds, on-premises, and at the edge, with the tools and
frameworks of your choice. Azure provides solutions including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS). These services can be utilised for analytics,
virtual computing, storage, networking, database housing and more. Azure can be used to replace or supplement your on-premise servers.
Pos and Gateway services
Ecommerce, one of the most used online options refers to any form of business transaction conducted online. The most popular example of eCommerce is online shopping, which is defined as buying and selling of goods
via the internet on any device. To be able to make this happen, you must have some form of POS and payment gateway services. Popular online POS systems includes the likes of Kounta and Xero with popular gateway
services such as Paypal, Securepay and eWay. Tying in with the development RBIT offers, we have access to all the mainstream POS systems and gateways to make a seamless integration for you. These services are now
very much Cloud based and it takes people like us to provide you the most secure and cost affective way to do online transactions.
Virtual Dedicated Servers (VDS) / Virtual Private Servers (VPS)
VDS/VPS are Virtual servers running on a massive server farm in the Cloud. They are private servers, meaning they are dedicated to one tenant only (see the example in Cloud Backup above). These servers can be
Windows or Linux (or Unix) based and they run their own instance of the Operating System. You get super admin access to that server (rather than the public server that runs one Operating System for multiple tenants).
These servers also allow a bigger throughput of data, and provide full processing speed and generally have subscription plans for unlimited disk space (obviously, cost would be a factor). As with the Cloud Backup,
the top Cloud vendors include Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, the Google Cloud Platform. There are others that are more application specific like IBM and Oracle to name a few.
RBIT have access to all vendors to get you a solution for your budget.
Web / Email hosting
If you only need dedicated Web and Email hosting, rather than a full cloud solution, there are plenty of dedicated vendors that will supply Web hosting. We recommend StudioCoast as they have a range of cheap hosting
packages that range from Web only through Email and Web hosting, right up to Enterprise hosting. If you are still running your website on-site of your business and are thinking that maybe for stability, your website
should be hosted in a 99.9% uptime environment, then these dedicated vendors offer a viable solution at a cost to suit your budget. Most of these dedicated vendors run add-ons, such as online shopping using nopCommerce, that tie
into Payment Gateways. They also have several forms of web hosting to cater for your current website programming such as ASP, .NET, PHP, Joomla, Wordpress and a host of others.
As RBIT are resellers of several hosting companies, please contact us before making a decision and we will be able to work out the best deal, the right hosting solution, and can support the transition to the new
host, including data transfers, DNS record changes and domain name purchases.
